Largo Central Park is a beautiful place to spend time with friends and family. There are many activities that you can do in the park, such as biking, fishing, and more! This blog post will talk about some of the different things you can do while visiting Largo Central Park.
Pickinicking
This is a great way to spend time with friends while enjoying the beautiful weather. The park has picnic sites that you can use for free, however, they are limited to only being able to reserve one site per day! If you have a large group of people then there is also plenty of room in this park for your own blanket and chairs if preferred.
Fishing
Largo Central Park offers two fishing locations. You do not need any special permit or license in order to fish here; it is completely free! This makes fishing an attractive option because all you really need is what’s already provided such as poles and bait (some worms will work). Just make sure to waste anything after catching fish because the park does have a no-waste policy.
Horseback Riding
Largo Central Park loves animals and is very pet friendly! This makes it a great place to bring your horse along for some fun as well. There are two different areas where you can ride horses at Largo Central Park, one being near the fishing location and another located behind the skatepark. You do not need any special permit or license in order to ride horses here; however if you plan on riding during an organized event then make sure that you check their website beforehand because there may be additional fees involved with this option.
Biking
At Largo Central Park they provide many opportunities to bike around such as roads and trails all throughout the area of land. It is very important to make sure that you bike in the right designated areas though. Usually, there will be signs around showing where it’s okay to ride your bike and in which direction, but if not then just make sure to ask a park ranger!
A fun thing about biking at Largo Central Park is that they offer free helmets for anyone who needs one. Although this may seem like something small, it can really help protect community members’ lives when accidents do happen; so we appreciate their thoughtful gesture!
Mountain Biking Trails
As mentioned before Largo Central Park provides plenty of trails and roads to bike down all throughout their area of land. However, mountain bikers usually prefer finding more challenging things such as jumps or rocks while riding their bikes. Fortunately, there is a mountain biking trail available for riders to use and explore! This option costs $15 per person which may seem like an expensive cost but it’s totally worth it when you’re looking for something more challenging than just the paths that everyone else uses.
